Welcome to My Webpage
I’m Elif Gürçınar—a designer, researcher, and occasional developer. My expertise lies in User Experience Design, with a strong focus on Extended Reality (XR) and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). I work at the Institute of Interactive Technologies at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW).
I enjoy the variety in my work, which spans conducting user interviews, analyzing diverse data types, and designing visuals and user interfaces. Operating at the intersection of academia and industry, I collaborate closely with industry partners.
Before my current position, I received the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship, which allowed me to spend a year at FHNW researching VR, HCI, and UX.
Hobbies
My hobbies have evolved over the years, but I always enjoy discovering something new. From versatile sports like CrossFit and Capoeira to my love for Lindy Hop, which I’ve even had the chance to teach, I’m drawn to activities that challenge and inspire me.
